The New Hall Art Collection
A Lecture by Ann Jones
Cambridge University Library
23 November 2011
Reception at 5.30pm with the Lecture at 6pm
Ann Jones, Curator of the Arts Council Collection, was fundamental in founding the Collection. Whilst working as an exhibition organiser for Hayward Touring in the early 1990s, Ann lived in College with her husband, who held a Junior Research Fellowship. She helped the then-President, Dr Valerie Pearl, to identify the top women artists in the UK at that point and the College asked them for a donation or a loan, with an overwhelming response.
