About Heather Welsh-Sarin
All of Heather Welsh-Sarin's works reflect her love of India, where she has spent a great deal of time. She is fascinated by the people, rich colours, stories of gods and goddesses. Indian elephants and stories of the Hindu god Ganesha have been her main sources of inspiration. Her works are bold in colour and sometimes incorporate silk collage, perhaps stemming from her early training as a textile artist.
Heather Welsh-Sarin exhibited her work at New Hall in 1998.
