About Renee Hetherington
Renee Hetherington was born in Cumbria and studied both at the Leeds College of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. She was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1949 and later won the Theodora Gleichen Award for Women Sculptors.
Her works are for the most part in private collections but she did produce a sculpture - Recovery - for the West Cumberland Hospital, sadly now destroyed.
